Veteran Medical Malpractice: Unsanitary VA Hospital

Augusta, GA: Last December June was admitted to the Augusta VA medical hospital (she was in the military for 10 years) with abdominal pain and a high fever: she had Chrone's disease and it was getting worse. But June checked herself out due to the poor hygiene conditions, so bad that she believes the hospital warrants a Veteran medical malpractice lawsuit.

Georgia Agency Loses Data on 2.9 Million Residents

A contractor working for Georgia's Department of Community Health (DCH) disclosed that it had lost a computer disc containing personally identifying information on as many as 2.9 million Georgia residents enrolled in Medicare and the state's "PeachCare" child health program, state health officials said.
